Join instructors at PATH Recreation & Fitness Center and Powell Wellness Center in December and January for these yoga classes that are free and open to the public. Yoga supports strength, balance, and flexibility and can also help with stress relief and equanimity during this busy season!
Saturday, December 10, 3:00 – 4:30 pm: Yoga Nidra with Rebecca Elsen
If you have never experienced yoga nidra guided meditation, prepare to welcome deep relaxation! Yoga nidra is a systematic method of encouraging complete physical, mental and emotional relaxation. Through the guided practice you will progressively release tension, which in addition to relaxation may lead to higher states of concentration and meditation. You may leave the class feeling like you’ve had a restorative nap and are infused with a calm, focused energy that makes you want to clean out your sock drawer — or pursue another chore or activity that has been sidelined due to lack of energy and interest!
This class at Culpeper’s PATH Recreation & Fitness Center is open to all levels of experience. Exercise mats are available or you may bring your own. You may also wish to bring a blanket, small pillow and water bottle.
Please access the classroom from the parking lot for the Culpeper Wellness Foundation at 19002 Crossroad Parkway. For direct entry to the activity room, follow the sidewalk on the right to enter through the side door of the activity room (Nancy’s Place). No registration is required.
