UVA Health Mobile Mammography Screening Services is accepting appointments for its 11/11/21 visit to Powell Wellness Center. Screening mammograms will be held from 9:30 am – 2:00 pm. To schedule an appointment, please call 434-297-5202 at least one week prior to the screening service. Appointments are open to community members.
When you call to make your appointment, please have your physician and insurance information available. If you do not have insurance, there are programs that exist to cover the cost of exams. Please inquire about available programs when you call the appointment line.
The UVA mobile mammography coach brings convenient and comprehensive screening services to women at workplaces and community locations throughout Virginia. The self-contained coach offers on-site breast cancer screenings using the latest technology, including 3D imaging, and has the capacity to perform up to 25 exams in one day. The coach is wheelchair-accessible, air conditioned, and has a dressing room.
The following measures will be in place to protect participants’ health and safety:
- Only one person allowed in the reception/registration area at a time
- Staff and patients required to wear masks
