Shari Landry, President
Shari Landry joined Culpeper Wellness Foundation (CWF) as the organization’s first President in August 2016. Prior to moving to Culpeper for this position, she was the Vice President of Philanthropy and Donor Services at New Hampshire Charitable Foundation, a statewide community foundation. Shari’s career has included leadership roles at several of NH’s largest nonprofit organizations where she focused on program development, management and charitable gift planning. Shari holds a BA in Social Work from the University of New Hampshire and a MS in Human Services Administration from Springfield College. She also earned the designation of Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy with the American College and a Fellowship in Charitable Estate Planning with the Charitable Estate Planning Institute. Shari and her husband, David, came to Virginia with their horses, Scottish Highland cattle, goats, chickens, dogs and cats. They are happily settled into a beautiful farm along the Rapidan River in Orange County.
Marcia Hoffman, Executive Assistant
Marcia Hoffman joined CWF in November 2018 as the Executive Assistant. Marcia’s career has been spent mainly in Tyson’s Corner, Virginia where she was an office coordinator. Marcia has over 20 years of office management experience and graduated from Washington Business School. She is a native of Culpeper County and excited to be part of an organization improving the health and wellness of what she calls her “hometown family.” Marcia resides in Reva with her husband Rodney and two daughters, Montana and Morgan. They enjoy rooting for their children at their various sports engagements, attending drag racing events and also spending time with family and friends.
Nicole Spears, Human Resources Manager
Nicole Spears’ journey with CWF began in 2010 at Powell Wellness Center (PWC), then under Culpeper Regional Hospital. When the hospital changed hands and CWF was formed in October 2014, she continued her career as assistant to the Director of PWC, which had transitioned to affiliate with CWF. From there, she stepped into the role of Executive Assistant to the Foundation’s President. Prior to raising her children, Nicole worked at U.S. Customs and Border Patrol and Robbins-Gioia. Nicole holds a BA in Business Management from the School of Business at George Mason University. Nicole and her husband, JJ, moved to Culpeper in 2005 from Northern Virginia. They have three children involved in various community activities and enjoy spending on their property, Emberwoods.
Karen Boushie, Communications and Social Media Specialist
Karen Boushie joined CWF in 2018 to serve as the communications and social media specialist. She and her husband Kristopher moved to Culpeper in 2017 from Vermont, where Karen was the public relations director supporting media relations, communications, and social media for an award-winning family vacation resort. She also has communications experience as a freelance writer and with the federal government. A graduate of Allegheny College in Pennsylvania, Karen later pursued professional certification in editing, writing, and graphic design at Georgetown University. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, biking, and participating in fitness classes offered by the CWF fitness centers.
Debra Dodson, Corporate Accountant
Debra Dodson joined CWF at its inception in 2014 to serve as the corporate accountant. Prior to that, she was the corporate accountant at Culpeper Regional Hospital from January 2008 to September 2014. Debra has more than 30 years of accounting experience. She is a graduate of the University of Mary Washington with a BS in Business Administration. A native of Culpeper, Debra has deep ties to the community and is grateful to be a part of an organization that is helping to make a difference. She is an avid fan of University of Virginia Men’s Basketball and the Washington Nationals. Debra enjoys cooking and spending time with her son, family, friends, and dog.
Karyn Hoffman, Business Systems Liaison
Karyn Hoffman joined CWF in August 2018 as the Business Systems Liaison. She is a native of Madison, Virginia and currently lives there with her husband and fur babies. Karyn is a graduate of Bridgewater College with a BA in Political Science. Most of her career was spent in the banking industry; however, in 2012 after numerous bank mergers she made the career switch into accounting. She is a Certified Accounts Payable Specialist and Certified Payment Reporting Specialist. Karyn spends her free time riding Harleys with her husband and enjoying family.
